Lord Rama

Rama is the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu and the central figure of the Indian epic, the Ramayana. He is revered as the 'Maryada Purushottama'—the ideal man who strictly adheres to Dharma despite all life challenges.

Background and Family

Born in the kingdom of Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya, Rama is the embodiment of virtue. He is the husband of Goddess Sita and the brother of Lakshmana, Bharata, and Shatrughna.

  • Ideal Leadership: His reign, 'Ram Rajya', is considered the gold standard of perfect governance.
  • Compassion: His bond with his devotee Hanuman and his fair treatment of all beings.
