Kamada Ekadashi
Kamada Ekadashi is the first Ekadashi of the Hindu New Year, occurring during the Shukla Paksha of the Chaitra month.
Meaning and Significance
'Kamada' translates to "the fulfiller of desires." It is believed that observing this Ekadashi can grant any legitimate wish of the devotee and cleanse them of even the most heinous sins. It marks the spiritual beginning of the year.

Distraught, Lalita sought advice from Sage Shringi, who suggested she observe the Kamada Ekadashi Vrat. By the merit of her fast, Lalit was restored to his original celestial form.
