Mohini Ekadashi occurs during the Shukla Paksha of the Vaishakha month.

Meaning and Significance

This day is dedicated to the Mohini avatar of Lord Vishnu—the only female avatar of the Lord. Mohini appeared during the Samudra Manthan (Churning of the Ocean) to trick the demons and ensure the gods received the Nectar of Immortality (Amrita).
