Agni is the Hindu god of fire and is one of the most important Vedic deities. He is the acceptor of sacrifices and serves as the messenger between mortals and the gods.
Significance
Agni is the ruling deity of the Krittika Nakshatra. He represents transformation, energy, and purification. In Hindu rituals (Yagna), offerings are poured into the sacred fire, which Agni carries to the respective deities.
