Lord Vayu (The God of Wind)
Vayu is the Hindu deity of wind and the personification of the vital breath (Prana). He is one of the five primary elements (Pancha Bhoota) and a powerful Vedic god.
Significance
Vayu is the ruling deity of the Swati Nakshatra. He represents movement, speed, and the life-giving force that sustains all living beings. Vayu is often referred to as the father of Hanuman and the spiritual father of Bhima (the second Pandava).
Symbolism
Vayu is typically depicted as a powerful man with a fair or blue complexion, riding a deer or an antelope (symbols of speed). He often holds a white flag and a mace or a goad.
