Mokshada Ekadashi
Mokshada Ekadashi falls during the Shukla Paksha of the Margashirsha month.
Meaning and Significance
'Mokshada' means "the giver of Moksha" (liberation). This day is exceptionally sacred as it coincides with Gita Jayanti—the day Lord Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
Connection to Ancestors
Similar to Indira Ekadashi, the merit of Mokshada Ekadashi can be transferred to deceased ancestors to help them attain liberation from their current karmic cycles.
