Prabodhini Ekadashi (Devutthana)
Prabodhini Ekadashi, also known as Devutthana Ekadashi, falls during the Shukla Paksha of the Kartika month.
Meaning and Significance
'Prabodhini' means "awakening." It is the day when Lord Vishnu wakes up from his four-month cosmic sleep (Chaturmas). This marks the end of the period of austerity and the beginning of the auspicious wedding season in the Hindu calendar.

The most significant event on this day is Tulsi Vivah, the ceremonial marriage of the Tulsi plant (Goddess Lakshmi) to Lord Vishnu (in the form of a Shaligram stone or Krishna). This ritual is believed to bring marital bliss and the merit of giving away a daughter in marriage (Kanyadaan).
